The device has been tested for water resistance using IEC 60529 standard and has achieved an IP65/68 rating. What's probably most detrimental to the smartphone is its similarity to the previous generation, as the improvements over last year aren't substantial enough to give ROG Phone 8 owners reason to consider upgrading.
