The Ultimate Q&A
To help you prepare for the 2015 HWBOT World Tour – Asia Computex event, we prepared a Q&A. Feel free to read through the questions and answers below, and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you need any more information.
Who can attend this event? Everyone! From Rookie to Elite, to new overclockers! Visitors and Media are also welcome.
What is planned? A full 3-days weekend (including Saturday and Sunday all-night) of overclocking, the HWBOT World Series competition, and exclusive access to the ASUS ROG OC Showdown Area
Where is it exactly? MakerBar Taipei, Taiwan – No. 9 5F, Section 1, Jinshan S Rd or 台北市中正區金山南路一段9號5樓
When is it exactly? You can bring over your gear and pick a spot on Friday evening from 6pm onwards. You can start setting up on Saturday morning (June 6th) from 10am. Packing / Departure on Monday (June 8th) from 5pm.
Is there any limitations for extreme overclockers attending? No limitations on hardware. This is a BYOC event, so please come with all the necessary gear. We provide LN2 for all “BenchSpot – Individual LN2 Overclocking Pass” ticket holders. We provide seating, power and WiFi. We don’t provide hardware for extreme overclockers participating in the World Series competition. But event partners have a few set of hardware that can be used on loan. First come, first served. A ticket is required to participate to any of the activities proposed such as the HWBOT World Tour competition as well as the ASUS ROG OC Showdown area.
BYOH (Bring Your Own Hardware), what should I bring? All the hardware you plan to bench (please label your gear!). That include: Power bar to accommodate all your power needs (US format, 110V) (We might have a few 220V lines, make sure your US format power bars can handle the voltage!!!), Complete OC equipment (pots, insulation, thermal flasks, etc.), Display: we will have displays for everyone, so don’t bring your own!
What about food / drinks ? Some snacks and refreshments will be made available during the event. For larger means, the district offers several options (Coffee places, Restaurants, Brunch, etc.). Alcohol is not permitted on the premises.
I want to assist an LN2 overclocker there and/or bench together, do I also need a ticket? Yes. Due to space limitations, 1 ticket = 1 person.
